DreamDesk did not come from a business plan, but because nothing existed that did what I needed. Today it is in the homes of more than 450 people.

How it started

A herniated disc. And no table that was any good.

When I had a herniated disc, I couldn't work comfortably anywhere.

Sitting hurt, lying down didn't work. What I was looking for was simple: a table that fit over my bed, stood sturdy enough for a laptop and didn't look like hospital furniture. Everything I found was about 60 centimeters wide, wobbled, or simply didn't fit over the bed.

So I had one designed myself. Wide enough to stand over a double bed, height adjustable, with power sockets in the tabletop, and a look that belongs in a bedroom. What started as my own solution is now in the homes of more than 450 people.

Questions we often get

Does the DreamDesk fit over any bed?

Our sizes are matched to the common Dutch and Belgian bed sizes. There are 4 widths: 140, 160, 180 and 213 cm. The table stands over your bed like a bridge, so it needs to be wider than your bed. 140 fits over a bed up to 120 cm, 160 up to 140 cm, 180 up to 160 cm and 213 up to 200 cm, including wide box spring beds.

Who is behind DreamDesk?

Joey Verkuijl, who came up with the product when he himself couldn't get out of bed for weeks after a herniated disc. The company is based in the Netherlands and run by a small team.

What about returns?

You have 60 days to see if you like it. If not, email retour@dreamdesk.nl with your order number. You will receive return instructions and sending it back costs you nothing. The amount will be back in your account within 14 working days of receipt.

How much warranty do I get?

2 years on the steel frame, the tabletop and all parts. If anything breaks within that time, we will fix it.
